Biography

John William Dysart, son of Joseph William and Myrtle Bell (McClary) Dysart, was born February 20, 1909 in Jefferson, Greene Co., Iowa.[1]

He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1937.[2] John W. Dysart married Lorraine Louise Diers June 17, 1938 in Howard Lake, Wright Co., Minnesota.[3] He served as a county agricultural agent in Minnesota and then later as Director of Public Relations for Land of Lakes Creamery. He retired in 1974. John has been an active church member all of his life. He served in many capacities including being Church School Superintendent and Lay Preacher for many years. He and Lorraine joined First Congregational Church of Robbinsdale (Robbinsdale UCC) in 1948. Active in community organizations and community service such as Meals on Wheels and United Fund for many years. John was awarded the "Good Neighbor Award" from WCCO and many other such recognitions. John is survived by his wife, Lorraine, his four children and their spouses . . . and seven grandchildren.[4]

John William Dysart died November 22, 1994 at the age of 85 years 9 months 2 days and was buried in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Crystal, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.[5]
