Darla K. Waegele
BOLCKOW, Mo. — Darla Kay (Dysart) Waegele, 70, Bolckow, passed from this life on Monday, August 3, 2009, at her mother's home. Darla was a remarkable, intelligent, beautiful wife, mother and grandmother. She was born March 19, 1939, in Bolckow to Howard and Suedena (Edwards) Dysart. Darla graduated as valedictorian from Fillmore C-1 High School with one of the highest IQs in the county. She married Donald L. Waegele on June 6, 1958, at Savannah, Mo. Darla was a homemaker. She loved her gardening, flowers, canvas and china painting, and especially her southern-style cooking. Darla had a deep love for the South. She also enjoyed Dale Earnhardt and her NASCAR racing. Her father preceded Darla in death. She leaves behind a legacy of loved ones: husband, Donald Waegele, of the home; sons, Randy Chris Waegele and wife, RoxAnn, Bolckow, Mo.,; Kirby D. Waegele and wife, Barb, Savannah, Mo.; mother, Suedena Dysart-Burns, Mound City, Mo.; granddaughters, Brittanie and Kelsey Waegele; three step granddaughters, Dana Calloway, Krissy Walker and CiJay Smith; step grandson, Tyler Smith; six step great-grandchildren. Her first great-granddaughter is due in December. She will always be in our hearts. Celebration of Life: 10 a.m. Friday, August 7, at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, Mo. Interment at Dysart Cemetery, Fillmore, Mo. Public viewing and family receiving from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The family suggests memorials to a choice of the donor.
