Biography

1845 Birth

Gideon Sherman Dysart was born July 24, 1845. [1]

1851 Move to Iowa

Milton Dysart brought the family from Marshall County Tennessee to Troy, Davis County, arriving on the 11th of April, 1851. [2]

1860 U.S. Census

In 1860, Milton and Harriet Dysert [Dysart] lived in Union Township, Davis, Iowa with their six children. Milton, Harriet, and four of the children had been born in Tennessee. Between 1849, when Harriet was born in Tennessee, the family moved to Iowa, where Emma was born in 1856. Family members were:
