Sydney was born on 4 June 1899 in Fremantle, Western Australia.[1] He is the son of John Dyson and Alice Ridley.
Sydney married Elizabeth Mackay in Perth in 1928.[2]
In the 1937 electoral roll Sydney, along with his wife, was recorded at 88 Roseberry Street, Maylands.[3]
Sydney died on 26 April 1964 in Perth, Western Australia.[4]
