Charles Dyson was born in Yorkshire, England.

Charles was born in 1891, and his birth was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1891 in the Halifax district.[1] He was the son of George William Dyson and Jane Elizabeth (Durrans) Dyson, and was born on 5 May 1891 and baptised on 26 April 1896 at St Martin, Brighouse, Yorkshire, England. The family were living in Brookfoot, Brighouse at the time and his father was the Landlord of the Woodman Inn. [2] [3]

1901 census: 6, Houghton Street, Brighouse, Yorkshire. Charles age 9 was the son of George W Dyson 36, Dyer's Labourer and his wife Jane E 31. Siblings, Albert Dyson 11, Nellie Dyson 5, and Amy Dyson 2. They also have a Boarder, Henry Barber 19, Dyer's Labourer. [4]

Military Service In 1908 when Charles was 17 he joined the Territorial Army for 4 years service with the Duke of Wellington, West Riding, Regiment. His service number was 564. At the time he was working as a Silk Dresser for Wood Brothers, Thornhill, and living at 6 John Street, Lane Head, Brookfoot, Brighouse. [5] [6]

Marriage: The marriage of Sarah Wainwright and Charles Alfred Dyson took place on 20 September 1913 at the Parish Church, St Martin, Brighouse.
Groom: Charles Alfred Dyson, 22, bachelor, Silk Dresser, John Street, Brighouse.
Bride: Sarah Wainwright, 21, spinster, Back New Street, Brighouse.
Groom's Father: George William Dyson, Dyer.
Bride's Father: David Wainwright, Dyer's Labourer.

Charles likely died in 1967, registered on the Fylde Coast, Lancashire, but not certain. [11]
