Biography

Grandpa moved to Bartow Florida some time in 1980 after retiring from General Motors as a Programmer. Grandpa was one of the first programmers for General Motors. One of the summers we were down to visit two years before he passed away. He was telling about how he used punch cards to program the computers for GM. This was the first time ever I talked with Grandpa in depth about anything really. He really loved his job and was surprised that I was doing some programming in school. We talked how computers have changed up till that time. The computer we had at home came from Radio Shack and it held 32k of data.The person that sold us that computer said that with that much memory we would never need to file paper ever again with that much memory. haha.
