Biography

Cornelius was born on 20 February 1845 in York, Carroll, Illinois, USA. He was the son of Hezekiah Thomas Dyson and Ruth (McIndoo) Dyson.^[1][2]

In the 1860 census Cornelius (age 15) was living in York, Carroll, Illinois, United States.^[4]

When Cornelius was 28 he married Rebecca Jane Hodson on 28 December 1873 in Jewell, Kansas, USA. The couple had 5 children: Bernard Ray Dyson, Frank Wesley Dyson, Florence Maudie Dyson, Robert Vinton Dyson and Ross Clarence Dyson.^[5]
