Origin

Abraham was born c. 1795, possibly in Albemarle County, Virginia.[citation needed] His father was Abraham Eades, Sr.

Family

Abraham Eades married 24 February 1824 at Monroe County, Virginia to Sally Kincannon.[1]

  7. Sarah "Sally" Eades; mar Richard Chandler in Albemarle and they moved to Kanawha Co. Va. (now W.V.) abt 1812

In 1845 albemarle is a Indenture Shepherd eades, susan Martin (Susanna or Sucky) married Rueben Martin, Charlotte D. Eades,Joseph C. Scruggs, Mildred (Milly) Martin married George Martin (power of att for them they are living in N.C. in 1845), Richard Carter Chandler Jr.(Son of Sarah & Richard Carter Chandler,other chandler children Joseph E. Chandler, William T. Chandler, Martha Chandler &husband Richard C. Hughes,Sarah Chandler wife of Samuel billups, John A.W. Chandler (my gggrandfather)They sell to Richard Lewellyn Abraham Edeas land. I would like to talk to anyone from this family.

Last Will and Testament

Abraham Eades of Albemarle County, Virginia
In the name of God amen. I Abraham Eades of Albemarle Co. state of Va., being old & inferm; at the same time devoris to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God .
I do hereby give and bequeath the same in mamer & form following
1st I desire that all my debts paied as soon after my death as convement
2nd I give my dau. Charlotte the whole of my land on which I live being all the real estate I possess' also two slaves Michael & Dianna with her children. also her bed & furniture,to her & her heirs forever. These gifts to my dau Charlotte are for her particular & unremitted attention to my old age. (Charlotte lived with him and cared for him in old age until death).
3rd I give to Fanny Park Shepherd my granddau one hundred pounds in cash. Which I wish to remain in the hands of my extors. until her marriage or till she may be in a situation to make application for the money her self. (this granddau married Joseph C. Scruggs).
4th after taking out the legacies specially given as above. It my desire that the bal. of my estate of every kind & descrisption what ever shall be publicly sold and the proceeds to be equally divided among my children Josepj Eades, Mildred (Milly) Eades ,Shepherd Eades, Abraham Eades Jr., Susanna (Sucky) Eades, Charlotte Eades, and Sarah (Sally) Eades. Tho' as Richard Chandler the husband of Sally is a man of incorrect habits. It is my desire that Sally shall have only a life Estate in her part, and at her death, it shall go to her children and be equally divided among them. and for this purpose I wish my extors. to vest her legacy in a female slave or slaves which may be more benificial to her during life. and afterwards more propitable children.
Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my two sons Joseph & Abraham Eades executors of the my last Will & Testament, hereby revoking all other or former Wills or Testaments by me herefore made. date 1825 in Albemarle Co. Va.

Wit were Joseph Gilmore, John Gilmore ,Thomas Gilmore ,Robert Morrison, Charles Tuley.[2]

Death and Legacy

Abraham Eades died in 1828 at Albemarle County, Virginia.[2]
