Tallis Eagar was born in Ireland.

Tallis Egar was was born in 1729 and baptised (surname transcribed as "Egan") on 1 April 1729 in Ballinvoher, Kerry (COI).[1][2]. He was the son of James Eagar.[3]
He married Millicent daughter of Robert Blennerhassett of Aunagarry in 1762[4] and had[5]:
- Lucy who married James Murphy
- Sarah who married Thomas Webb
- Alice who married Samuel Landers in 1795[6]
- Frances who died unmarried
- Millicent who married her first cousin Geoffrey Eager, son of Philip Eagar in 1798[7]
- Rowland who married Jane daughter of James Eagar.
Tallis made over the land of Culleeny to Rowland in 1789[8] so Rowland would have been over 21 by then.
His grandson is most probably Rowland Tallis Eagar
