1917 Birth: Joan M Earth was born on 19 June 1917. She was the daughter of Harvey Earth and Ethel Hugh. [1]
1939 Register: Joan is living with her mum, Ethel, at 17 Albert Street, Spalding. She is a Laundry Maid. Also at the house is her future husband William H Bailey, a Plumber. Another member of the household, probably brother Norman, is hidden. [2]
