Ruth married Jonathan Page on Dec 6, 1821 in Rumford, Maine.[3][4]
Around 1825, Ruth and Jonathan cut their way through the wilderness from Rumford to the Penobscot on their way to the Bingham tract.
Ruth was for many years, one of the most remarkable female Physicians in Upper Penobscot region. Known as “Aunt Jock”. She learned the use of Indian medicines. She had relatives in Boston and took several of her daughters there to ‘marry them off’ to sea captains. [5][6]
She passed away in 1892 and is buried at Mount Repose Cemetery in Burlington, Maine.[7]
