Biography

Jessie Ann King Easton was born about 1867, in Selkirkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.[1][2] She was the daughter of Thomas Easton and Mary Ann Weatherston.

At 27, on the 30th of March, 1894, she married Alexander Bathgate Hogg in Galashiels, Selkirkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.[3][2] She was a yarn handler in a dye works

At 77, on the 5th of March, 1944, she died, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and on the 8th of March, was buried in Saint John's Cemetery, Halifax, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.[4]


Am not sure about maiden name as I have seen Jessie Ann King on my grand-mothers birth certificate but on other things Easson, Easton, and one or two other names.

Her maiden name appears as Weatherstone on the 1926 marriage record of her daughter Agnes and the 1935 death record of Agnes Butler. Her maiden name appears as Weatherstone on the 1922 marriage record of Alexander. Her maiden name appears as Easton on the 1950 death record of her daughter Mary MacAdam. Her maiden name appears as Esseon on the 1956 death record of Alexander Jr. On her 1894 marriage record her name is Jessie King Easton daughter of Thomas Easton and Mary Ann Easton ( maiden surname Weatherston)
