Biography

Mary (Easton) Davis was a Virginia colonist.

Mary "Polly" Eastin was born c.1767 in Orange County in the Colony of Virginia to Philip Eastin and Elizabeth Douglass. ^[1]

Mary "Polly" married Rev John Davis on 27 Jul 1789 in Orange County, VA with her brother Reuben Eastin providing bond. ^[2]

Mary & her husband John moved from Virginia to Alabama sometime between 1815-1816. ^[3]

Mary passed away on 25 Oct 1822 in Russellville, AL.

Mary Polly (Eastin) Davis is buried in a little cemetery in Russellville, ^[4] some distance across Cedar Creek from Ben Harris Cemetery.

Davis Cemetery is on the road that goes from Village Farm to Orman Bridge. It is here that John and Mary Davis are buried.
