Biography

Lawrence Brown Eaton

He is the son of Samuel Eaton and Mary Brown

In 1880 he lived with his grandparents in Vienna, Maine, age 19, he was a farm laborer. Eliza was a housekeeper, age 18, in Orleans, Vt.

Young Lawrence Eaton

While living in Lowell, Massachusetts he met his bride-to-be, Anne Eliza Tucker, who was visiting her sister, Aunt Net, who ran a boarding house. Later, their daughter Cora Eaton also met her husband William Conrad (from Nova Scotia) , who worked in Lowell as a security officer, and had become close to Aunt Net, working part time at the boarding house.

By about 1884, they were in Fayston, Vermont, at the time of their first born, Lura.

After both marriages but at different times, they moved back to Vermont to be near her Tucker family and Cora and William to return to her native home.

He worked for the post office. He and his wife and 4 daughters lived during the children's growing up years in North Fayston, Vermont. His mother lived with them until her death.
