BROCKTON -- Clara E. (Eaton) Connick, 86, of New Bedford, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at West Acres Nursing Home. She was the widow of Elmer Worthington Connick.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Alfred H. and Nancy M. (Johnson) Eaton, she lived in that city most of her life and was a member of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ.
Mrs. Connick was employed by Morse Twist Drill and Sunset Cleaners in New Bedford until her retirement. She transcribed books into Braille language for the blind to read.
Survivors include three sisters, Nancy M. Izyk and her husband, Frederick A., of New Bedford, Amelia F. “Midge” Eaton of Valley Stream, N.Y., and Emily F. Sutton of Colorado; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
Burial will follow at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery, Bourne.
