Biography

Sarah "Sallie" Eaton was born on August 23, 1879 in Collinsville, Illinois to John and Elizabeth Rusk. She was one of two known children born to the couple.

Sallie was raised in Collinsville. She married Harry Gartside on February 27, 1899 in Prairie Ridge (now known as Crossroads), Illinois. The young couple moved to Caseyville, Illinois and had ten known children.

Some time before 1930, Sallie and Harry divorced. Sallie lived with her children in O'Fallon, Illinois.

According to another genealogy site, Sallie passed away on March 18, 1958 in Collinsville, Illinois (unverified).
