Biography

Paternal descendant of Henry Harris Eaton and Letitia Alexander of Needham, Massachusetts and Samuel Earl Greene and Isabelle Trotter of Pittsfield, MA.

Harris Eaton is a direct descendant of John Dedham of Dedham, Massachusetts. (This line is fairly well documented and I will be adding profiles to fill out what's available on Wikitree). Maternal lines for Harris include other prominent Needham and Wellesley families including Fiske, Kingsbury and Fuller.

Samuel Greene is a direct descendant of Henry Green of Ipswich, Massachusetts, according to an unpublished genealogy prepared by an extended family member back in the 1960's. This genealogy also includes ancestors from several other prominent Massachusetts North Shore families including John Eaton of Salisbury, Rowlandson, Bradbury, and Dodge.

My maternal ancestors in the Benincasa and Pugliano lines hail from Calabria, Italy and arrived through Ellis Island between 1900-1915. They initially settled in Capaldo, Kansas where they worked in the coal mines. The Pugliano family eventually moved back to New York and settled in Westchester County. (None of these ancestors are documented on Wikitree so I have my work cut out for me.)

While I'm currently interested in both lines, I'm currently focused on the Eaton and Greene lines in terms of my research.

Hi Karen

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The United States, and Italy Projects may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Congrats on being confirmed as a full member!

Saw your Tag to the Eaton's of Dedham and after doing some checking I believe we are both descendants of William Eaton (1677-1728) and Mary Starr (1685-1751). You from their son Josiah and me from their daughter Abiel.

That is correct. I think my focus is going to be hooking up the line that goes from William > Josiah > William > William > Augustus. Thanks for your welcome!
