Biography

John was born in 1836 in Brooksville, Maine to James Eaton and Sarah Blake.[1]He was baptized in Brooksville in 1836.[2]In 1850, he lived with his family on Deer Isle.[3]

John married Hannah Harvey on Deer Isle in 1857.[4]In 1860, they lived on Great Spruce Head Island.[5]In 1870, they lived in Verona, Maine. John was a sailor.[6]in 1880, John and his family lived on Great Spruce Head Island. John was a farmer and fisherman.[7]

Hannah died between 1880 and 1889. John married Elmira Conary about 1889. In 1900, they lived in the town of Deer Isle with their son, Sherman. John was a fisherman.[8] In 1910, they lived on their farm on Deer Isle with their son, Sherman.[9]In 1920, John and Elmira lived on Deer Isle.[10]

John died on Deer Isle in 1922. [11]He is buried there in the Eaton Cemetery.[12]
