Biography

Hans was born about 1699, probably in late April as he was christened 28 April 1699 in Hedelfingen Lutheran Church, near Stuttgart. Eventually he and his wife and three of their four children came to Philadelphia on the British ship Samuel, disembarking on August 26, 1737, leaving a baby behind in Germany, possibly to be raised by the family. He passed away after 1746.

Married twice per Family Search, but the first may be spurious:

1st. 1720 Hance Agnessa Nichal Eblen (1704–1774), three sons (Hance is another spelling of Hans -- ???)
2nd. 1722 Maria Anna Weber (1699–1774), fifteen children (??? Need to verify Weber-10313 vs Weber-13224. Only four children in the records.)

Buried in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, per Family Search, but his headstone has not been located.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Hans by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Hans:

Eblen-129 and Eblen-13 appear to represent the same person because: Same birthplace, same wife, same wedding day and place, same place of death, overlapping childrens' names. The first wife is probably spurious -- an alternate spelling of Hans that was used on at least one document in America -- Hance Michael Eblen.
