Also in the Militia, Colonel Johnson's Regiment, Captain Moses Branch's Company, which marched from Conn. to Rhode Island; engaged for the term of two months, Jan. 1, 1778
He was pensioned for his service and at his decease his widown had same transferred to her, it appearing to have been received under the name "Eccleston"; residence North Stonington, Ct."

Ichabod Taylor married his cousin Thankful Park, daughter of Nathaniel Park and Thankful Eccleston. Caleb never married. Joseph married Lucy Gates. Thankful married John Law III. Gardner’s wife is unknown. Olive married Thomas Rose. Sabry married Charles Campbell. Lucinda never married. Nanny (or Nanna/Nancy) married Gordon Aldredge. Tracy Nelson married Sarah Frink.[3]

Served in the Revolution War in 1777

EGLESTON, JOSEPH - Comstock, Col. Lippett's Rhode Island Regiment, served twelve months etc. Dec. 26, 1832 Gershom Egleston of North Stonington, New London County, Conn. aged seventy years a revolutionary soldier declares he enlisted in 1778 as a private in Capt. Christopher Brown's Company Company, Lieut. Elias Palmer, Col. Oliver Smith's Regiment etc. When he arrived at Griswold Fort he found in Capt. William Latham's Company of matross or artillery, Joseph Egleston and saw him in said company from day to day until I was discharged. Joseph Egleston died July 6, 1838.[4]

Eggleston-5013 and Eccleston-104 appear to represent the same person because: Obvious duplicate profiles were not found because of different spellings of family name.
