Biography

Amandus was born in 1865. He passed away in 1937.

The Amandus Eck family lived near Palm in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania where Amandus worked as a blacksmith for 54 years.

The following article appears in The Morning Call newspaper on 16 Jun 1906: "Amandus G. Eck equipped his blacksmith shop with a new 400 fan. Mr. Eck is very proud with the implement and claims it gives him much comfort in his work." And this article on 7 Feb 1908: " A. G. Eck, the blacksmith, while shoeing a mule belonging to the John Hancock Ice Company, had a narrow escape from being probably seriously injured by a kick of the mule.
