Biography

Jacob was born in 1769. He is the son of Johann Eckert and Elizabetha Froelich. [1]

St. Peter’s Lutheran Rhinebeck baptism record for Jacob lists parents as Peter Eckert and Elisabeth. Witnesses were Jerg Dippel and Catharina.[1] Jerg (Georg) at his baptism was sponsored (and named after) Johan Jurge Eckert, grandfather of Jacob baptized here.
