Biography

Jean Henri Edelmeyer was born on March 27, 1755. He was christened on March 30, 1755, in St. Charles, Louisiana. He was the son of Johann Adam Edelmeyer and Ann Claireau.

Around 1793, he married Francoise Pertuit, daughter of [unknown]. They had 3 children:

  1. Eulalie EDELMEIER b: Abt 1793
  2. Francoise EDELMEIER b: Abt 1797 in , LA
  3. Andre EDELMEIER

He is listed as deceased on the marriage certificate of his youngest son, Andre, who was married on 15 Nov 1834.
