Biography

Alexander was born on 25 June 1799 in Pendleton, SC, USA. He was the son of Jacob Edens and Rachel (Stuart) Edens.^[1]

When Alexander was 24 he married on 26 June 1823 in Lincoln, TN.^[2]

In the 1850 census Alexander (age 50) was living in Subdivision 2, Lincoln, Tennessee.^[3]

In the 1870 census Alexander (age 70) was living in District 1, Lincoln, Tennessee, United States.^[4]

Alexander died at the age of 71 on 13 April 1871 in Tennessee, United States.^[2]

When Alexander was 24 he married Cincinatta Edens on 26 June 1823. The couple had 10 children: Felix W. Edens, Amanda Edens, Elizabeth A. Edens, Susan Mildred Colsher, Mary Edens, Joseph T. W. Edens, James Edens, Emily Jane Edens, Virginia Saphronia Porter Edens and Samuel Wilson Edens.

Alexander died on 13 April 1871 in Lynchburg, Lincoln Co, Tn.
