Biography
Joseph Edgar was born around 1857 in Bedlington, Northumberland, England, the son of Ellinor Burrell and Robert Edgar.[1]
At the time of the 1871 England Census, Joseph was 14 years old, living at Sleekburn, West Colliery, Bedlington, Northumberland with his parents and siblings, and was employed as a coal miner.[1]
