Martha Jane (Edgar) Hensleigh, 92, passed away peacefully on 13 April 1964 in Iowa. She was born on 14 March 1872 at Winfield, Henry, Iowa, a daughter of David Edgar, 1838-1910 and Martha (McElhinney) Edgar, 1844-1872. She married Elmer Watson Hensleigh in 1893.
Mrs. Hensleigh was survived by her children, Lela Leona (Hensleigh) McCullough, b. 1894; and Albert D. Hensleigh, b. 1895.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Elmer, 1867-1945; siblings, James Latimer Edgar, 1860-1929; Samuel Elder Edgar, 1862-1922; William John Edgar, 1863-1948; Thomas McCaw Edgar, 1865-1901; Nancy Ann (Edgar) Willson, 1866-1954; Robert Martin Edgar, 1868-1901; and half siblings, Isaac Melville Edgar, 1878-1945; twins Emma Letitia (Edgar) Hartzell, 1881-1950; and Ellen Edith (Edgar) Kilpatrick, 1881-1938; and Charles F. Edgar, 1884-1958.
Martha is buried at the Maple Hill Cemetery, College Springs, Page, Iowa. The findagrave memorial ID Is 133586496.
