Elizabeth was born in 1880. [1]She was the daughter of Mark Edgar and Elizabeth Thompson. [2]

In 1891 Elizabeth is living in Tweedmouth with her father Mark, stepmother Margaret, her two brothers and step sister Hamilton (Finlay) Young (1873-1949) [3]

Marriage to Andrew Kirkley 4 Nov 1905 Sunderland, Durham. Witnesses were C Edgar and H Finlay.[5][6]

In 1911 Andrew and Elizabeth are living at Wardell Terrace in Sunderland with their 2 year old daughter Elizabeth. Andrew is a riveter at the shipyard. The couple have had three children, two of these have died. [7]

Five days after Elizabeth is buried, her husband Andrew passes away, leaving 3 young children as orphans.
