Julia Windeyer Edmonds was born on 12th November 1865 in the Woolshed, Cunningham Plains, via Binalong, New South Wales (Australia). She was the daughter of John Windeyer Edmonds and Mary Jane Ballard. [1]
Julia married Walter Owen Idriess in 1888 in Waverley, New South Wales. [2] Julia and Walter moved about New South Wales a bit, seemingly only pausing in a place to have a child:
Sadly, Julia passed away of typhoid fever in 1908 in Broken Hill, at just 41 years of age. [3]
Julia or Juliette? The clerk took her name down as Julia at birth regn. On her marriage regn the clerk took her name down as Juliette. Her family, or at least the informant, gave the clerk Juliette as her name at death. Most obituaries and biographical comments sighted have stayed with Julia. Her middle name also changes from Matilda to H to Windeyer. This profile has used Juliette as proper with Julia as preferred. We have also gone with Windeyer as it was not passed to any sibling and was her father's middle name, although her two youngest daughters have middle names starting with M.
