John Edson was born in Yorkshire, England.
John Edson and two of his brother were was killed in the Oaks Colliery Explosion on 12-Dec-1866
John was born in in 1839. His parents were Thomas Edson and Ann Barlow.[1] He was baptised in Royston on 31 March 1839 [2]
He married Elizabeth Sheard in Barnsley in 1860 [3]
John was killed on 13 December 1866 in the Oaks Colliery Disaster., aged 27 [4]
