Note N3192275 JACOB Edson, only child of Benjamin Edson (#103) and Anne Thayer, born about 1740, Bridgewater, Mass., married there, May 14, 1759, Elizabeth Packard, born there Oct. 6, 1739, daughter of Abiel Packard and Sarah Ames. They died in Pelham, Hampshire Co., Mass., he on Apr. 25, 1806, and she on Nov. 23,1813. They went to Pelham, Mass. about 1779, but lived in Stafford,Conn., 1788-1790. He was a Selectman of Pelham, 1779-1780, signed the petition for a new Constitution at Pelham, May 9, 1786, petitioned the City of Belchertown to become citizens of Pelham, June 21, 1786, and took the Oath of Allegiance to Pelham, Apr. 16, 1887. He served in the Revolutionary War (see p. 103). (p937)
