Biography

Barnabas Edson was born in 1786. He was the son of Josiah Edson and Reliance Fuller.[1][2] Barnabas is the great, great, great grandson of Mayflower Pilgrim Deacon Samuel Fuller Sr. (click to see the relationship trail).

Barnabas married Betsy Gurney in Bridgewater, Mass., in 1815.[3] They had the following children:

  1. Harriet Allen Edson, b. 21 Sep 1815; d. 04 Mar 1904
  2. Sarah Hayward Edson, b. 17 Nov 1819
  3. Josiah Edson, b. 27 Mar 1822
  4. James Edson, b. 15 Aug 1824
  5. Matilda Gurney Edson, b. 03 Apr 1827

Barnabas passed away in 1859.[4]
