Biography

On 14 Jun 1900 at the time of the 1900 US Census, head of household James Eddison (age 45, born Sep 1855 in WI) was employed as a Farmer and living in a farm home he owned free of mortgage Olathe, Kansas with his wife Emma L. Eddison (age 43, born Feb 1857 in MN), son James O. Eddison (age 22, born Sep 1878 in NE), son William H. Eddison (age 21, born Dec 1879 in NE), son Charles L. Eddison (age 19, born Sep 1881 in NE), son George T. Eddison (age 16, born Jan 1884 in IA), son Fred K. Eddison (age 14, born Mar 1886 in KS), daughter Henretta A. Eddison (age 12, born Dec 1888 in KS), and Albert D. Eddison (age 8, born Dec 1892 in CA). James and Emma had been married for 22 years; Emma had given birth to 9 children, 7 of whom were still alive. Both of James' parents were born in New York; Emma's father was born in Ohio and her mother in Pennsylvania. [1]

On 22 May 1918, Vernie Victor Van Noy (age 26) married Henrietta Alden Edson (age 26) in Kane, Illinois, USA. Vernie's parents were Milton C. Van Noy and Margaret C. Collins; Henrietta's parents were James B. Edson and Emma Thomas. [2]
