Biography

On 16 Apr 1930 at the time of the 1930 US Census, head of household George T. Edson (age 45, born in IA) was employed as an Editor for a Newspaper and living in a home he rented for $30 at 1307 High Street in Beatrice, Nebraska with his wife Emmette Edson (age 44, born in KS), daughter Laura Edson (age 22, born in AR), son Philip Edson (age 17, born in KS), daughter Gene Edson (age 8, born in NE), son Dean Edson (age 6, born in NE), and father James B. Edson (age 75, born in WI). George's father was born in Wisconsin and his mother in Minnesota; both of Emmette's parents were born in West Virginia. James's parents were both born in New York. George was 22 years old when first married; Emmette was 21 when first married. ^[1]
