Biography

John Edwards was a pioneer settler in Oregon.

John Edwards was involved in the westward expansion of the USA (Oregon Trail). See Trails and Wagon Trains.

John was born 23 November 1849 in Oskalooska, Iowa. He was the son of Thomas Dildine Edwards and Barbara Ellen Rinehart.

At age 4 John traveled the Oregon Trail with his parents and siblings, eventually settling in Springfield, Oregon.

He married Sarah F Smith 27 July 1876 in Union County, Oregon.^[1]. They had the following children:
