Biography
William Edwards was born in about 1801 in Old Radnor, Radnorshire, Wales. He married Elizabeth Watkins on 3 Jun 1827, in Llangynllo, Radnorshire, Wales. They had seven children.
He died in 1854 in Missouri at the age of 53. The location of his burial site is unknown. William and Elizabeth arrived in America on June 9, 1845, from Wales.
A statement in a handwritten letter from Annie says,"He died on way over and was buried at sea. Landed in New Orleans." This account cannot be corroborated, since his name is recorded in the 1950 U.S. census for Clark, Missouri.
