James Edwards married Nancy Searcy on 31 August 1801 in Woodford County, Kentucky. Richard Searcy was surety.

James Edwards married Susanna Perry on 25 March 1829 in Woodford County, Kentucky. Consent was signed by Susanna Perry on her own behalf on 24 March 1829. Witnesses to the consent were Samuel Pepper and Thomas Edwards. Samuel Pepper was surety for the marriage bond.[1]
