CONROE, TEXAS -- Corinne Elizabeth Edwards Bodman, resident of Conroe, Texas, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, after an extended illness. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 18,with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hwy 1774, Plantersville, Texas, with Father Ed Kucera presiding. Corinne was born Dec 21, 1927, in Ponca City to Paul T. and Cordelia Tanner Edwards. On Jan 16, 1947, she married John Ignatius "Jack" Bodman in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ponca City. Jack and Cory -- the nickname Jack gave her -- and their family transferred to Houston, Texas in 1961, from there to Lake Charles, La., and back to Houston. She was an accomplished pianist and music instructor. Once the children were grown, Corky worked and retired from the Standard Oil of Ohio (Sohio) and became first woman in the Houston Association of Professional Landmen. She and Jack retired in Montgomery and enjoyed many years traveling and making new friends. She was very active in St. Mary's Altar Society and the Lake Conroe Republican Women's Group and she supported many charities and religious organizations. Above all these roles, she took the greatest pleasure and pride in being a wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include four sons and a daughters-in-law, Jack and Anita Bodman of Houston, Texas, Steve and Nancy Bodman of Montgomery, Texas, Mike and Ginny Bodman of Spring, Texas, and Phil and Betty Bodman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and son-in-law, Dianne (Bodman) and Floyd Darling of Montgomery, Texas; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Carolyn Edwards of Ponca City; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret (Bodman) and Fred Bruner of Standish, Michigan; one sister-in-law, Joanne Bodman of Niagara Falls, N.Y.,; and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Edwards in Colorado Springs, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Corky was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack and by her parents, one brother and one granddaughter.

Edwards-18376 and Edwards-19081 appear to represent the same person because: These are duplicate profiles. I have merged profiles for Cordelia Tanner Edwards, Paul T Edwards, Rosella Johnston Tanner, Fredrick Tanner, Cordelia Heck Tanner, and Edward T Tanner.
