Mrs. William M. (Clara A. Edwards) Christenberry, 88, of Assumption died 9:53 a.m. Monday (June 11, 1979) in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Nazarene Church of Assumption, with visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Sherwood-Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Odin, Ind. Mrs. Christenberry was born in Odon, Ind., daughter of Lewis and Anna Edwards. She was a member of Nazarene Church of Assumption. She married William M. Christenberry in 1907. Surviving are her husband; sons, Al-vin and Joseph, both of Assumption; Robert of Hebron; daughters, Martha Prasun and Ann Townsend of Decatur; Mary Graliker of San Francisco, Calif. ; Mrs. Treva Sharp of Las Vegas, Nev.; Clara Bilyeu of Assumption; half brothers, Alsome and Elzie Edwards, both of Odeon, Ind. ; half sisters, Jessie Laugh-lin of Pana; Carol Laughlin of Odon; Ind.; Geneva Garrett of Michigan; Irene Fite of Litchfield; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death. ^[9]
