Biography

William M. Edwards (Cader2, Captain Cader1) was born in Barren Co., KY circa 1800. He married three times. He married Judith M. Ferguson in Barren Co., KY, 24 Aug 1818. Judith was born in VA circa 1803. He then married Margaret Shuffitt in Barren Co., KY, 10 Sep 1831. Margaret was born est'd 1808. Margaret died before 1838 in Barren Co., KY.He married Mrs. Lucinda T. McDaniel Stovall in Barren Co., KY, 28 Aug 1837. Lucinda was born in KY 1802.

"William M. Edwards first settled on the Hutcherson farm near the village of Park, in Barren County. About 1834 or '35 he purchased the Bear Wallow farm and kept the tavern there for two or three years. The land was involved in litigation and he could not get a good title, so he sold out there and bought several hundred acres around Savoyard, where he spent the remainder of his life."
