Thomas Edwards was baptized 14 May 1795 in Llangadwaladr, Denbighshire, Wales. [1] He married Martha Evans 26 September 1813 in Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, Denbighshire, Wales.[2][3] The couple settled there and 12 children were born:
In the 1841 and 1851 England and Wales Census, the Edwards family was living on their farm, Ty Du, in the area of Llancadwaladr. [14][15][16]
Thomas died at Ty Du in 1857 and was buried in Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, 9 January 1857. [17]
Research Notes
According to the UK Genealogical Archives, [18] Llancadwaladr is a parish in Denbighshire on the river Ceiriog, here called Tregeiriog. As this area is very close to Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, it is possible that the births of the Edwards children were registered in Llanamon Dyffryn Ceiriog, but the location of their residence for the census was listed is Llancadwaladr.
