ACCIDENT AT THE KAPUNDA MARBLE QUARRY. TWO MEN KILLED - SEVERAL INJURED. - Kapunda, February 13.
The crane collapsed at the marble quarry to-day. Two men were killed and several injured. The latter have been brought to the hospital.
Kapunda had a shock this morning on learning of the sad accident at the marble quarries. The facts are as follows, deduced from enquiries, an inspection of the scene, a view of the bodies, and the inquest:—The men killed are David Edwards, 48, leaving a widow and seven children in Kapunda, neck broken and skull fractured, besides other injuries ; Thomas Fidock, aged 39, married about ten months, and living at the quarries, skull fractured and left thigh and side smashed.
