Funeral Services for Myrtle Mae Austin, 79, of Freeport will be Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Angleton Church of Christ, 1100 E. Wilkins Street, Angleton, TX., with Bro. Algie Armstead officiating and Bro. John C. Whitley eulogizing. Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, TX.

She passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at her residence.

She was a member of Westside Church of Christ and enjoyed cross-stitch, working puzzles, cooking and tending to her roses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Meshach and Geneva Ward Edwards; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack Austin, Jr., Freeport, TX; son, Jack Austin, III (Vanessa), Iowa Colony, TX; daughters, Lenora Barber (Carlton), Richwood, TX, Delores Parson, Bay City, TX, Sharon Jenkins, Lewisville, TX; sisters, Mary Elaine Nelson and Rosiland Lewis, both of Freeport, TX; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Derrick Edwards, Antonio Edwards, Thaddeus Parson, Mansfield Parson, Jack Jaden Austin and M.J. White.
