Jack was born on the 15th of October, 1906 in Iron Belt, Iron County, Wisconsin. [1]
In 1910, Jack lived at home with his parents and brother Bob in Osceola Township, Houghton County, Michigan.[2]. He was 3 years old at the time of this Census.[3] His father, also named John, was listed as working in a copper mine.[4]
In 1920, Jack lived in Vance Creek Township, Barron County, Wisconsin with his parents and his brother Bob.[5]
In 1930, Jack lived at home with his parents and family which included brothers Bob and George.[6]
On the 10th of June, 1931 he married Edna Caroline Tronrud.
In 1937, their only child was born: Shirlee Grace Edwards.
In 1940, Jack lived with his wife Edna and daughter Shirlee on their farm in Forest Township, St. Croix County, Wisconsin.[7]

He passed away in 1979 at the Amery Hospital, Amery, Polk County, Wisconsin, USA. He had been hospitalized due to a heart attack.
