On 2nd May, 1839, the marriage between George Edwards and Ann Silk was solemnized at the Parish Church, in the Parish of Calne, Wiltshire. George, of full age, was a Widowed Laborer, the son of John Edwards, Laborer. Ann, also of full age, Spinster, was the daughter of James Silk, Laborer. At the time of their marriage they both resided Calne. The Established Church ceremony was performed, after Banns, before witnesses William Edwards and Jane Brewer who signed the register. The bridal couple gave their marks. ^[1]
