Private 12 June 1776 - 16 Nov 1776 , Col. Philip Burr Bradley's Battalion, Wadsworth's Brigade, Continental Army, American Revolution, Captain Samuel Keeler's Company, (his father Jeremiah Beard Eells was Ensign of the same company)^[1][3] Captured Fort Washington .^[2][3] Prisoner for about a year.^[3] Prisoner on Prison Ship Jersey.^[3][3] Invalid, wounded in hand.^[3][3]
