Wilbraham was born in 1781. Egerton, son of William Egerton Or Tatton & Mary, was baptised on 12 November 1781 in Northenden, Cheshire, England.[1]


His father had commenced a major building programme of work to replace Tatton Old Hall Wilbraham continued with this work after the death of his father .

Wilbraham (age 24) married his cousin Elizabeth Sykes (age 28) in 1806 in Rostherne, Cheshire, England.[2]

Wilbraham was in a land tax record in 1806 in Tatton, Cheshire, England.[3]

He held various positions of authority : a captain in the Cheshire Militia , later becoming the High Sheriff of Cheshire and then MP from 1812 until 1831.

In the 1851 census Wilbraham (age 69), Landed proprietor, was the married head of household in Tatton Hall, Rostherne, Altrincham, Cheshire, England.[4]
