I will be listing the parents of Richard as Alson Earl & Minnie Eggleston. This is what Find A Grave is reporting. The Douglas County Genealogy site is reporting that they suspect he is the son of Erwin & Ethel Eggleston. They were not married at the time he was born so I believe that to be incorrect. Richard is buried next to Katherine Grace Eggleston Penley. This would be his aunt. You will see an article below about Earl & Minnie thanking people for their condolences on Oct 2, 1914 - about two weeks after Richard death as well as an article about the fire. This is my evidence that they are the parents. Earl & Minnie left for Idaho a month later. This explains why Richard is buried in the Penley family plot and not with his parents.
