Biography

Peter was born on 2 August 1731 in Neuweid, Rhineland, Germany, the third of eight known children and five sons of Martinus and Anna Maria Dornin Eichenberg.
In 1750, while he was still in his teens he married Veronica Groff Eichenberg in an unknown location. After her death he married Faronica Unknown about 1758 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Between his two wives he had three known children, one son and two daughters:
  1. John Eichenberry
  2. Elizabeth Sarah (Eichenberg) Bowman
  3. Faroneca Groff (Eichenberg) Brower.
Peter died of unknown causes on 9 May 1812 in Lanier Township, Preble County, Ohio, when he was eighty years old.

Miscellaneous

Peter was baptised in May 1752 in the Conestoga [German Baptist] Congregation, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Probably after the Revolution, he moved to Franklin County, Virginia. In 1807 he moved to Preble County, Ohio.
