NOTE
There must have been an older Paul Eisele after whom this Paul was named because there is one listed in the Columbus City Directories for the time period covering 1887-1892. The Paul which was listed in these directories worked as a stonemason exclusively and lived at the same addresses and neighborhoods as all the other Eiseles:
It is easy to see that this could not possibly be this Paul Eisele as he would only have been ten years old in 1888. Possibly the stonemason was an uncle.
This Paul Eisele is buried in Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio. He was listed in the 1901 Columbus, Ohio City Directory, working at 578 E. Main Street as a bartender, and living at 797 Selbach Avenue. The bar or saloon belonged to his grandfather, John Eisele, who also lived at the address. His obituary states that he was the secretary-treasurer of the Ohio State Journal for 35 years, so he had gone to work for them by 1903.
