Margaret was born on 28 December 1882 in Germany. She was the daughter of Lewis Eisele and Grace Beekley.^[1][2]

When Margaret was about 20 she married Horace Neiman Overholtzer in about 1903. The couple had 8 children: Horace Matthew Overholtzer, Emma Maragaret Overholtzer, Dorothy A Overholtzer, Eleanor Miranda Overholtzer, Howard C Overholtzer, Laura Overholtzer, Martha Overholtzer and Florence Mae Overholtzer.
